American Eagle –
heritage branding
Known for its jeans and classic American style, American Eagle is one of the most well-established brands—it has over 900 stores worldwide. Its men’s graphics category is one of the most profitable in the company. It delivers close to 100 graphic choices every season and is tasked with giving personality to the brand.
I designed for the men’s graphics team from 2007-2016 and directed it from 2010-2016. I was instrumental in evolving the company from a logo-dependent business to one that featured a unique mix of trend-based t-shirt choices. In 2012, the Men’s graphic business achieved its most profitable year in the company’s history.
The heritage-inspired designs below are a small selection of the design solutions I created during my years at American Eagle. They represent seasonal trend concepts, logo treatments, and company product initiatives.
